We all know Aloe Vera is AMAZING! It’s been called the “Plant of Life, Miracle Plant, and Plant of Immortality”. And it just got even better!
How I cured my acne with an Aloe Vera plant
I recently became obsessed researching Aloe Vera and all its benefits and wanted to see what it could do for my face. Best decision I ever made!
It was a little strange at first applying a plant to my face...LOL But I quickly saw results and fell in love. My face has never looked better! My acne scars faded, my complexion became radiant and bright, and seldom get any blemishes now.
Aloe Vera is remarkably effective in treating acne because it contains anti-inflammatory properties. The Aloe Vera plant also contains vitamin E which is excellent for repairing damaged cells, magnesium which helps to ease pain caused by acne, as well as polysaccharides and gibberellins to fight off bacteria keeping your skin crystal clear. Wait there’s more! Aloe Vera acts as a natural astringent making it capable of removing dirt, dead skin cells, and excess oil. There are so many more benefits of Aloe Vera, I could go on for days!
Blah, blah, blah, enough of that, let’s get to the point! How did I use Aloe Vera to clear my skin?
I start by tearing off a small portion from the end of a leaf. Then I use my fingernails to split the leaf open exposing the inner gel. I’m too lazy to use scissors, which is probably better than using your fingers! While holding the outside edge of the leaf, I rub the inner gel side all over my face. I use a little pressure while doing this to release a bit of liquid from the gel. I then rub all the excess gel into my skin and voila, I’m done! Your skin quickly absorbs the gel and there is no need to wash your face afterwards.
I try to apply the Aloe Vera in the morning and night both after my normal face washing routine. It makes a great primer before applying makeup! When I apply the Aloe Vera after washing my face at night, my skin sometimes feels tight and slightly dry. When this happens I dab a little coconut oil on top of the Aloe Vera and let it soak in overnight. The coconut oil soothes my skin and keeps it from drying out.
